Engine Power Generation

Description:  One Model KC 18 olive oil processing residue (sansa) gasification system with gas cleanup system and I/C engine/generation plant. This first-of-a-kind facility is located in the south of Italy and will generate approximately 4,050 kWh (gross) of electricity from 4,500 kg/h of sansa

Completed 2001 for Rossano Energia, S.p.A.

Description: One model KC 8 gasification system installed to generate 1MW of electrical power. The system is operated on wood fuel and/or distillery residue. The syngas is cooled, cleaned and burned in an EneriaCat engine-genset. The system was installed in the spring of 2006.

Description: One model KC 8 test/demonstration research center to demonstrate the successful gasification of all types of biomass fuels, including: rice husk, rice straw, wheat straw, switch grass, processed municipal solid waste (RDF), bark, sawdust, shavings, trimmings, sander dust, reject fiber, waste water treatment sludge, paper mill sludge, bagasse, peanut hulls, peat, petroleum coke, spent refinery catalyst, manure, palm shell, palm fiber, palm empty fruit bunch, cotton stalks, corn cobs/stubble, lignite, coconut shell, cotton gin waste, and other waste fuels. The biogas produced at this center has been successfully applied to firing internal combustion engines for power generation and is designed to provide the fuel for the biological production of ethanol.
